Does Using A Baby Carrier Stunt Your Baby Developmentally?

My son loves to be in his baby carrier. He seems to be very relaxed and quickly falls asleep. My sister, who is an early childhood development student says that having my baby in the carrier will keep him from learning to roll over, sit and crawl. I only put him in the carrier when we are out in public or if I am doing chores around the house. Is putting my son in a baby carrier stunting his developmental growth?
