Is Postpartum Depression The Same Thing As The Baby Blues?

Since my son has been born, I've been extra weepy. The same thing happened for the first couple months of my pregnancy. It took nearly nothing to make me cry. I'm pretty sure that I'm just hormonal, but I don't want to take things to lightly either. Is postpartum depression the same thing as the baby blues?
