How Do I Handle Parenting Advice From A Co-worker With No Children?
I have a co-worker that lives nearby. We see each other often around the neighborhood and she is constantly commenting on her observations of my children. She doesn't have any children herself, but to hear her, you'd think she has 10. I try to be polite, but there are times when it takes everything in me not to walk away from her. I don't want this problem to filter into our office relationship, but she's starting to make comments about my children at work in front of other co-workers. My children are good kids, but they aren't perfect. Who's children are? How do I explain to her that her comments, observations, and advice not only bother me, but are completely inappropriate at work?
