The Doctor Told Me It Was Just A Cold.
My 9 week old son had been sick for a couple of days. When I called to make an appointment with his pediatrician, the receptionist said he was out of town, but his associate would see him. I took him to the other doctor who laughed and said, "He just has a little cold. Don't feel badly, a lot of first time moms are nervous the first time their babies get sick," and sent me on my way. My gut feeling was that he was wrong, but I accepted his diagnosis and went home. 2 days later my son was struggling to breathe. My husband and I rushed him to the ER and he had full blown pneumonia. If I don't agree with a doctor's diagnosis and decide to trust my gut, how long should I wait to make an appointment with another doctor?

Please do not wait. Immediately if you are not satisfied with the first doctor, proceed to the other doctor. Likewise, that firt doctor who diagnosed wrong result, you can get back to him, or complain him. It's baby's life at stake they should be careful in dealing with them. I suggest, once baby got sick, observe him properly hourly check is necessary, then if sickness does not subside in a day, seek a doctor.
