Will The Baby Know If We're Having Sex?

Our baby sleeps in a bassinet beside our bed. My husband and I would like to have sex, but it seems weird having our daughter lying beside us in her bed. My husband is afraid that we'll somehow traumatize her if she wakes up. Will my 4 month old baby know if we are having sex and will it traumatize her?

A child that is 4 months old has no idea what sex is. If your child is in their bassinet, their view should be obstructed in the event that they wake up. If you are concerned about your child being woken up, move it to another room! There is no rule that sex has to be always performed in a bed! Spice it up a bit and move it to the living room, a guest bedroom, or anywhere that suites your fancy! Sex is about connection and enjoying yourselves! Don't stress it and have fun!
