Food Aversions And
|
I have developed an aversion to several of my favorite foods (specifically hamburgers, tuna salad, and pizza). Sometimes I will crave these foods, but as soon as I taste them, I feel sick. Is it common to crave foods that you end up not wanting?

Thursday 18th of February 2010 07:18:38 AM Yes, most definitely. With me it was cheese, and then I would feel sick afterwards. Aversions to food are your body's way of telling you what you dont need. Sometimes the cravings for your favourite foods are actually psychological rather than biological. Listen to your body and eat healthily. Avoid anything that makes you feel sick - chances are, your body and more importantly, your grwoing baby doesn't need them.

Friday 19th of February 2010 10:56:04 PM Yes and more strange things might happen. You already are experiencing a dislike for certain foods. The opposite might happen too, you might love certain foods all of a sudden. I was never a big fan of citrus fruit....now I cannot get enough of them. I eat them all day long and have even gotten out of bed for an orange the other day... I guess it is your body telling you that it needs certain vitamins/ minerals

Sunday 21st of February 2010 06:50:00 AM Every pregnancy is a pregnancy and they are all different from each other. are mothers who do not have a sick throughout the pregnancy. It is normal and need not be frightened by it. Avoid these foods and substitute others that make you feel better.

Sunday 21st of February 2010 03:23:00 PM Sure it is.In the pregnancy the metabolism is different ad there are food which before we liked and now we dislike and viceversa.
You are now in the phase you crave but can not eat.
Maybe it will pass if you are in the first semester of the pregnancy, but if you pass that phase it seems that you will be this way all pregnancy.

Monday 22nd of February 2010 02:07:24 AM Yes, I think it is very common. When I was pregnant with my first child, I could not stand drinking coffee any more. I also ate a ham roll with salads for lunch every day, and since then, the thought of it is just too much, so it works the other way around as well! I also started drinking Rooibos tea, and now I can't stand normal tea. Food can also be a delicate subject during the first few months when you are having morning sickness.

Thursday 4th of March 2010 03:51:19 AM Yes of course and it is just normal. Part of the intricacies of having a baby. See, it's not just having the baby that concerns pregnant women. There are a lot more to it than just carrying it inside your womb. And you have to be physically and emotional prepared on this.
