How Do I Calm My Baby When He Cries In The Middle Of The Night?

My baby has been getting up in the middle of the night and crying inconsolably for about an hour. It has happened every night for almost a week now. How can I calm my crying baby in the middle of the night?

Talking to a child in very calm, soothing tones, will help calm him. Holding him against your chest, placing his ear over the area of your heart, will let him hear your heartbeat, which will remind him of being in your womb. Sing to him, rock him. It's all about trial and error, seeing what works for your son and what doesn't!
