Is There A Difference Between Colic And Reflux?
My son has an appointment this afternoon for his stomach problems. He cries after feedings and there is nothing I can do to make him feel better. A friend of mine said that her baby had reflux. Is there a difference between colic and reflux and how do I know which is hurting my baby?

Colic is primarily caused by gas and generally occurs in the evening hours. Reflux is caused when stomach acid moves from the stomach and up the esophagus, causing a burning sensation. There is really no way to know which is causing your child discomfort without consulting your child's pediatrician.
