How Do I Prepare An Emergency Escape Route From A Second Story Window?

My house has 2 stories and our bedrooms are all on the second floor. I'm trying to prepare an emergency escape plan for my family, but I'm stuck as to how to safely get my baby and toddler out of a second story window to safety. Are there any suggestions or products for a safe escape with small children from a second story window?

That is a very wise thing to be doing for your family! You best bet would be to invest in an emergency rope ladder that can be lowered from a second story window. Also, they have small baskets that infants can be placed in and lowered to the ground floor also.
