Is There A Difference Between Sids And Failure To Thrive?
My sister's son passed away when he was 2 weeks old. We're awaiting an autopsy, but the doctors said that it was failure to thrive. Is there a difference between SIDS and failure to thrive?

SIDS is an unexplainable death of a child. Failure to Thrive is when a child is cared for, fed, nurtured to the fullest extent, but still fails to gain or maintain their weight or grow. Failure to thrive is explainable, SIDS unfortunately is not! Good luck to your family!
