My Baby's Father Is In The Military
I just found out that I am pregnant. My baby's father is in the military and we aren't married. I can't afford the medical bills on my own. Do I still qualify for any assistance from the armed forces for medical expenses?

Maternity clothes shouldn't be flashy and expensive. There are several ready to made dresses in shopping malls that you can buy and not in pairs. You can buy the cheapest one but looks smart and comfortable. Don't buy maternity dress in pair. Buy one stretchable pants and a couple of three pieces of blouse which you could use alternately with one single pants. It's just 5 or 6 months that you will use it anyway.

My husband is working for the navy. We weren't married yet when we had our first baby. But we filed for a court order that he recognized the baby and he wants to fulfill his financial obligations. We seek help from a Child support attorney nearby. You can do that too for advice.

In my opinion it shall inform the parent of the child who is waiting for his child because he has the right and duty to know. Then explain that it is able to support her pregnancy and you need his help (via the military or not, only he can tell you if there is sharing).

I am not sure about this issue but I guess if you discuss with your partner he will definitely can find out, just asking in the system what are his rights. If you are not legally married or in the legal concubinage I am not sure he can deduct all the expenses from his assurance.

In my country, illegitimate child are recognized so long as it is registered in the baby’s birth certificate. Another way for you to ask medical assistance is for the father to file the necessary documents with his own unit. And once you have this already, my understanding is that the armed forces will not give you money for your medical expenses but will refer you to military hospitals who also has good doctors.
