My Son Is Very Rough With Dolls Is This A Bad Sign?

I have a 2 year old son and I am 8 months pregnant. I bought him a baby doll to get him used to having a baby around and he doesn't treat the doll very well. He drops it and hits it. Does this mean that he is a normal 2 year old or is it a sign that he is going to be rough with the baby?
