What Is The Best Baby Name Book?
|
I am pregnant with my first baby and am looking for a good baby name book. I've looked through a few at the bookstore, but I've found that they claim to have 10,000 or more names but 2/3 of them are all different spellings of the same names. I want a book with a good variety, meanings and origins. What is the best baby name book for what I want?

Thursday 4th of March 2010 01:39:39 PM Hi. When I was having my son I browsed through many bookstores to see what baby names book they had on offer, but the book can be so limited. Why not use the internet? There are hundreds of baby names sites that are up to date because people can add new names all the time. Babynamer.com is just one. actually I chose a name from the internet for my boy. Don't bother spending that extra cash when the internet is limitless.

Sunday 21st of February 2010 07:25:11 PM As for a book, it depends on what you are looking for. You can try searching Amazon, but personally most of the books will all have the same names or variations on them. This is because similiar names all have the same root meaning. Try searching http://www.babyhold.com/ which is a site geared towards parents and naming babies. It even has a name generator - how's that for different and cool!
