Are Sex Toys A No-no While Pregnant?
|
My husband and I are trying to make the most of our time alone before the baby comes. In the past we've used sex toys to spice things up. Are sex toys out of the question while I'm pregnant and if not, is there a special way to sterilize them?

Sunday 21st of February 2010 07:31:11 PM Sex toys should always be cleaned with a special anit-bacterial cleaner after use - regardless of whether you are expecting or not. Bacteria can breed on the toys and make you more prone to infections. Although it's unlikely to affect the baby, it's not work taking the risk. You can get special cleaners from the same place you bought your toys. If not and the worst comes to the worst, wash in soap and water and then rinse with a Savlon or Dettol solution. And let them air dry naturally.

Wednesday 3rd of March 2010 07:47:00 AM For me, it is not good to use sex toys especially for pregnant women. There is a possibility that these toys will not do good for the woman's body. It may cause UTI which will harm the baby. If the couple wants to do it, they can have sex without using a toy.

Thursday 4th of March 2010 06:26:45 AM The toys are fine, as long as you was before and after, you don't want to come down with and itfhy vaginiyitis. Just keep them clean, and don't let any body else use your toys. Now, if you do notice some bleeding, or discomfort, make sure you get in tough with your OB. just take it slow and easy-and have fun. This is some of the best sex you will ever have, enjoy all of it..while you've got the time.
