My Baby Doesn't Move Around Much After I've Had Sex.
|
I'm 31 weeks along and still enjoy intercourse with my husband. I've noticed that our baby doesn't move much for a while after we have sex. Is there something wrong? Should we stop having sex?

Monday 1st of March 2010 06:02:11 PM Unless you have been instructed by your OB, you can have sex up until your due date. It is good exercise for you and the baby, and it is wonderful for you and your husband. And no, you are not hurting the baby. The reason he/she doesn't move around is because you love making has rocked him/her asleep. In the words of George Michael, "Sex is natural, sex is good, not everybody does it, but everybody should." Unless your OB says different, keep on keeping on, It will give you some exercise, and it is an amazing bonding time wihth your husband. You still are the sexy, sensual woman you were before you became an incubator or the little alien occupying your uterus. And it does wonders for your self esteem--you have this huge belly and your husband stil finds you attractive. It's good exercise for the baby, too. I envy you...my ex-husband wouldn't even look at me when I got bigger around thatn I was tall. Do be careful with nipple stimulation, because that can cause contractions There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, and no your husband cannot hurt the baby--your little one is compleely protected by the placenta. Keep it up unless your OB says different. And to leave you with this jewel, it will make labor a lot easier. Have fun with your husband while you still can...in about 10 weeks, recreation time has to be put on hold for a while, so enjoy the hell out of it whaile you wtill can! Godspeed and Best Wishes

Monday 22nd of February 2010 06:51:50 PM There is nothing wrong at all - infact, the rythmic movements of intimacy can actually send your baby to sleep. As long as your baby is moving throughout the day, there is nothing to worry about. Contact your ob if you go for more than 48hours without feeling any movement.

Monday 1st of March 2010 01:41:40 PM If you are really concerned, you should contact your OB. Unless you have been told otherwise by your doctor, you can enjoy sex up until your due date. The reason your baby doesn't move much after sex is the rhythmic motions that occur during intercourse. It is totally healthy for you, the baby, and your husband to keep on keeping on. It helps you stay in shape, and it makes you feel attractive at a time when you might not think of yourself as the sensuous woman you were before you became an incubator for the little stranger growing in side of you. In the words of George Michael "Sex is natural, sex is good, not everybody does it, but everybody should."
