Do Walkers Slow Your Baby's Development?
|
Somebody told me that if I let my baby use a walker he will slow his development. He loves his walker and zips around like a pro. Will this keep him from learning to walk independently and should I stop letting him use his walker?

Sunday 14th of February 2010 05:59:01 AM It is a myth that walkers slow the development of a baby. Along with a walker, now that your baby i confident on it, you can guide him in walking by holding his fingers and making him walk around. This will help him reach out to other forms of a support other than a walker and help walk faster.

Sunday 7th of March 2010 11:08:44 PM Most mothers worry about the development the their child. Yes, in a way, it can slow down his development. You can still use the walker if the child really loves it, but from time to time you have to practice him to walk without the walker. Just hold him with your two hands and let him walk. Both of you will enjoy the fun and the bonding that only you can give.
