My Son Is 2 And A Half With A Limited Vocabulary.
My 2 1/2 year old has a very limited vocabulary. He doesn't speak much at all. He has an older brother that is a chatterbox and I don't know if his quiet is because there is something wrong or if it is a personality thing. Should I contact a speech therapist or wait it out a little longer?

I had this problem with my son when he was two. My daughter is four years older and talked for him. He would go to the sink and point at the faucet and she would tell me he wanted water, and so it went on. When she started school in kindergarten we discovered my son could talk in sentences. Check to see if that is what is happening to you. If it is, arrange for some activity for the older child so it is away a certain percentage of the time and you can have one-on-one time with the two year old.
