My Son Isn't Sitting Up On His Own Yet.
|
My son is 9 months old and he isn't sitting up yet. He was 6 weeks premature, but his development hasn't seemed to be retarded at all. I'm starting to get concerned about him because he won't even try to get into a sitting position on his own. If I sit him up, he has the balance to stay up and will sit for a long time. Should I be concerned that he isn't sitting on his own yet?

Thursday 1st of July 2010 08:18:31 AM May be you child is chubby if this is so then it cant hold his weight by himself . If you have an insurance for this Pt .sometimes this globally delayed in baby but its better if you show it to pediatrician may be having some problem but not sure its better to consult with doctor.

Wednesday 24th of March 2010 09:08:34 AM you shoukd report to the doctor and ask what he thinks about it and open how mjust be the reasons of it, normaly the babies start to sit on his own between 5 to 7 months, but there is again your baby is not so far of what is the expected moment and that the only way to know if you should concern or not is looking for your doctor opinion. good lucky.
