Are Pillows Safe In Cribs?
|
My aunt quilted a beautiful blanket and pillow set that matches the theme in my daughter's nursery. I plan to display the quilt on the wall, but is it safe to put the pillow in the crib?

Wednesday 24th of March 2010 05:24:13 AM hello there and probably the answer you already imagine that is no, the crib pillows are not safety, the coz they can put your baby infront of a strangulation risk as long as your baby can stuck his face in the pillow and dont have a way to get away from it, as the baby have restrictions about move and change their body positions, it can be a high risk, it still been selling looking for the decoration side but they are not pratical and safe. what you can do is, use the baby pillow as a decoration piece and take it away from the crib when you put your baby to rest. cheers.

Tuesday 29th of June 2010 04:02:41 AM At the time of sleeping of baby have pillows, quits, and other bedding things can make a suffocation hazard. in bad conditions, with missing pieces, broken pieces or loose hardware. This leads to entrapment and suffocation between mattress, which no longer fits well and the bay's crib. Become unsafe because they were put near other hazard.

Monday 15th of February 2010 02:25:27 AM For the first few months I would suggest to rather leave the pillow out of the crib. You do get special baby pillows that have breathing holes in them. Perhaps just get one of those in the meantime. You will soon know when your baby can handle a pillow. Personally, I was never too concerned about a pillow. My babies slept next to me on normal pillows for their first few months.
