How Do I Choose A Crib Mattress?
|
I bought a convertible crib that changes into a toddler bed. I want to find a mattress that will wear well and be comfortable. How do I choose a crib mattress that will stand up to long term use?

Wednesday 24th of March 2010 05:20:26 AM all you need to look is, first you look at your crib size, some mattress are made as a standard size what means that some cribs like your that turn into a toddler bed will not use the same mattress, so you should look at the baby stores for the special mattress that are a bit bigger than the normal crib mattress, the other thing you should look to check is the size of the mattress can not be so smaller compared with the crib it need to fit tight and the distance between the matress and the cribs can not be more than one finger. what makes the mattress more safety, second you should choose by the firm ones instead of the most soft ones, coz the kids need more a firm base as long as they have no way to move for a while so it will make things be more easy and safety to your baby. good lucky.

Tuesday 29th of June 2010 03:26:52 AM Double check the size of mattress against the size of crib .mostly the mattresses are fit in standard crib ., then check the stiffness of mattresses if should be hard for good solid sleep of baby though soft is good for adults . Foam or coil doesnt matter as foam are cheaper and are safera s long as they are no soft.

Friday 2nd of July 2010 01:00:02 AM When shopping for a crib mattress, especially when I'm planning of using it for my other future bundle of joy. I consider buying one that is firm (not too soft that the baby might get sleepless nights), doesn't have coils (I hate it when they stick out), just enough to cover the crib and still have an allowance between the mattress itself and the crib's frame.
