Adoption
I just discovered that I am pregnant. I'm not prepared to have a baby right now, but abortion is not an option. How soon in a pregnancy can someone seek adoption assistance?

I would say this is something you can discuss with your family doctor or your midwife already now. You probably will have to go through some counseling sessions to be sure that the decision to give your baby up for adoption is really the path you want to take for your pregancy and baby. Good luck with your decision!

I had an adopted brother whom we gotten agreement when we knew the gender around 6 months. My mom wanted a baby boy because all my siblings are girls. I suggest you wait till you know the gender but if the future foster parents doesn't mind about the gender you can come up with an agreement from 3 months. As a mother, I was so attached with my baby when he reached 4 months in my tummy. So i doubt if you wont change your mind when you're close to delivery. Think about it more.

You can seek adoption assistance the minute you find out that you are pregnant. There are thousands of couples that would love to have a baby. The adoption agencies will give you the advice and guidance that you need to get you through this time in your life. I think you are making a very responsible choice!

Almost straight away. This is not a simple straight-forward issue though as many women need time to think about what it is that they are about to do. There are emotional and psychological issues and feelings of guilt and regret once your baby has been given up for adoption. If you are sure this is what you want, see your Dr who will put you in touch with a social worker and they will take this from there. You will also be offered counselling as this can be a traumatic time for many mothers who choose to give their baby up.

You can ask the help from state institutions or some organisation that works in this field.as soon as you feel prepared.Anyway they will took into their data base only after 3 months old.they calculate the risk of miscarriage so that's why they will wait for this. Maybe you will think about this more.

You can get assistance immediately. As soon as you get the pregnancy test results from the doctor, you can speak with an adoption agency or an adoption attorney. The chances of your child getting adopted are much higher this way. You should know what options you have so you can decide.
