I Feel Weird About My Wife Nursing.
|
My wife is in her second trimester. Our house has become baby central and it's very exciting for both of us. I'm as happy as she is about our little boy joining the family, but I'm not so keen on the breastfeeding. I'm embarrassed to say but I feel weird about sharing my wife's breasts with anyone, even my son. I know that breastmilk is great for babies, but I'm afraid that it will change how I look at my wife. Would I be wrong to ask her not to breastfeed?

Wednesday 10th of February 2010 03:28:37 PM I guess so!
You will get use to it! It is strange in the beginnig, but after awhile things will focus mostly on your baby, so your wife'breast won't be so important in this ecuation.
try to think what's the best for the kid, his health will depend on it! Do you prefer to have an unhealthy kid? I am sure you don't!

Tuesday 23rd of March 2010 11:42:30 AM hello there and yes you must be very wrong asking her to nor breastfeed, i dont think it will change the way you see her, it will even make you wish her even more when you start realise how important to your son it is and how great and important is your wife coz she got to be enough to supply your son needs, breastfeed is an amazing thing that all pregnant women should experience regardless the ones that has not a way to breastfeed. Try don't connect the breastfeed with your sexual life and all will be okay. Cheers.

Monday 5th of April 2010 01:05:51 AM You would be VERY wrong not to support your wifes choice to Breast feed not to mention prevent access of you vulnerable new baby to the best start possible in life. Time to man up and start thinking like an adult father not a teenager who thinks with his penis !!
