I Had Postpartum Depression With My Last Pregnancy.
I had postpartum depression with my last pregnancy and had to take xanex for a while. I really want to avoid going through this again with this pregnancy. Is there anything I can do while I'm pregnant to help avoid postpartum depression later?

hello there dear, and there has some changes in your habits that must help you get away from this problem or take you as far as possible of this problem, first at all you must been watching yourself more carefully, trying to make everything that brings you pleasure during your pregnancy, if you start feel down look after a specialist to try avoid as much as possible things that helps you develop depression, second at all stay health and pratice some sports that helps our hormones levels and some hormones helps your brain to still in balance and make it more dificult to get depressed, good lucky.

To avoid this you can do some things like play with your older kid , try to make yourself happy, eat nutritious food (specially omega 3 oils and vitamin B),get yourself out of the house for at least few min each day ,take it easy , play with your baby, listen music , visit with your friends and family.

I for one underwent postpartum depression after pregnancy. It's a common occurrence and in most cases is unavoidable. I can suggest that you plan ahead of time before the baby enters this world. Settle any problems that you may have, arrange shared responsibilities with your partners - so you will have time for yourself and rest for awhile - because being in mommy duty 24/7 is a ton of work; make all necessary adjustments to the household as soon as possible - so you won't be worrying about it later; best of all try to relax and keep your cool. Good luck!

No pregnancy is the same, so don't worry about this issue. You need to focus on your little one and the other kid and I am sure things will went pretty smooth now.being mother for the first time it is almost scarry things, about what you will do, so things induce the stress and also the depression. the second time you are more experimented so thiks are ok. wish you luck!
