Below Average Fundal Height--is My Baby Okay?
|
I'm 32 weeks and my doctor told me that my fundal height measurement was low. He said it was 30. What does a low fundal height mean and is my baby in trouble?

Friday 9th of July 2010 10:24:35 AM The fundal height measurement is an empirical way to determinate the size of the baby. Normally the uterous increase 1 cm each weak. But itīs not perfect. For 32 weaks you should have 32 cm. If you are 30 you are a Little under measure, but it doesnīt means your baby have problems. It only means that is a Little small.

Monday 22nd of March 2010 12:32:43 PM hi, and the fundal height means the mensure between your uterus and your fallopaian tubes, that means how much space does you baby has to develops, as you get near to the end of the pregnancy the space start be less accurance to the baby what means he has not so much space to keep growing, and no your baby is not in trouble, would be a problem if it was the start of your pregnancy but as you have seen you are getting near to give birth so thats what happens with all pregnant women near to the delivery time. Cheers.

Thursday 24th of June 2010 12:45:19 AM Using the simple tape measure and recording the distance between public symphasis and fundus or top of the uterus , is quick and non invasive and objective way to access the likelihood of problems in pregnancy. measurement can be varies form 2 to 3 cm. It doesnt harm the baby but tell the small in date.
