Yes it is good you ask to know exactly what it is. It is a blood test that measures the levels of certain hormones and proteins in a pregnant woman’s blood. So if they get to know all the levels of hormones and proteins in your blood, i think it will help the doctor to know how to advice you in order to remain a healthy pregnant woman.

hello there the quad screen test is a blood test made to look after some substancies and in which levels they are found in the blood, so for the results you can see if there is the signal of some problems and look what the other tests must be done, the quads screen is not a diagnosi test, its a gtest that is very important as long as you can know if all things are been well or if something is indicate an unexpected result that must require anothers tests.

This quad test is also known as AFP test or MSAFP test. In this they take the blood sample and and they check it. AFP is the protein secreted from the fetel liver and excreted in mother's blood. Some says it is 60% successful while some said this is 80% or some said very less so not sure about this.
