Can I Request A C-section ?

I am a school teacher. My baby is due June 12, one week after school closes. Everything has been fine with my pregnancy and the baby is healthy. I would like to have a c-section for 2 reasons. 1. I want to have the most time with my baby during my summer break. 2. I am terrified of vaginal birth. Can I request a c-section without any real medical need for one?

Ceasarean form of delivery is now an option on your side. But there are far more great advantage to your baby if you deliver your child normally. In fact, you can spend as much time as you want when you prefer normal delivery because your bond with your child is more intimate. With C-section, recovery is rather slow.

yes, you can request a c-section without a medical reason, i'm not sure how happy or how your doctor will react about it, but the c-section can be requested by a mommy wish as well, as long as the time you want to have it garantee that your baby is safe, you can have the right to request it but first you must hear your doctor about what he or she thinks of your idea as well.

I think yes, but of course you need to ask your ob gyne first about it. Basically with an unsolicited advise, the feeling is more great in normal delivery compared to c-section. Sometimes, you think that c-section is not painful, but it is more painful during recovery period. With normal delivery you can recover immediately and can take care of your baby.

Actually it is not good to do c-section without any real medical need for one. Most women nowerdays have been delivered trough c-section and fifty(50%) of them are deaths. so as for me i will not admit that fact. Even though you can request for it, but don't forget it can harm too after the surgical operation. As you know some of the doctors are not good so they can easily kill you.

You shouldn`t be terrified with vaginal birth, It`s more natural than a C-section. And all that is natural recovers sooner. How do you know a C-section is easier? Have you thought about the period after? I suppose you can request a C-section without a real medical need but the doctor would still need to have a reason for recommending it to you. Think it over. And stop watching movies with vaginal birth. It`s not that horrible.
