Is Epi Pen Dangerous For My Baby?
|
I am 17 weeks pregnant and severely allergic to bees. I carry an epinephrine pen with me at all times. Now that spring is coming, I'm starting to get really nervous. If I'm forced to use my epi pen, will it hurt my baby?

Wednesday 17th of March 2010 10:05:50 AM hello there and i think your doctor must have advised you to don't take epinephrine during your pregnancy coz of the big risks of abnomalies reaction over your baby, you can try seek of a professional opinion that must know what can show you another medication to take while you pregnant, but there are plenty restrictions about use epi during that time.

Saturday 15th of May 2010 05:18:24 PM using epi pen do not harm unborn babies any how. like if you are suffering from common disease like throat swelling, difficulty breathing you can decide to take epi pen. It advisable that you consult a doctor about certain common disease and the type of epinephrine pen to use for those disease. But at times when you realize the sickness is worsening is better you see a doctor.

It is normally used when some body is having acute asthma or severe allergic to insects sting. This is safe but have some side effects like fast heart rate, anxiety and tremor.
