Is I Safe To Take Benadryl During Pregnancy?

I suffer from mild allergies and I'm starting to go crazy. It's not so bad that I need to see my doctor, but I can't breath through my nose and constantly have a sinus headache. Is it okay to take benadryl during pregnancy?

Many doctors do not recommend taking benadryl during pregnancy because some women just buy the drugs without any prescription. some will even go to the local drug stores and just chose their own drugs to buy and all this can harm their life.the only way i will say is that you can take it only by visiting the near by pharmacist, and explain your problem to him for him to prescribe the right drug for you.

Most health professionals consider Benadryl safe throughout pregnancy, though, especially to reduce morning sickness during the crucial first trimester.
Diphenhydramine is the main ingredient in Benadryl, its primary side effect is drowsiness. In addition, diphenhydramine is approved by the Food and Drug Administration to block nausea and vomiting of motion sickness. The drug is used in a similar way to prevent morning sickness in pregnant women. Benadryl works for four to six hours, and its effect is greatest within the first hour.
However, in general it is proper to avoid the use of over the counter medicine and that to during pregnancy.

hi there future mommy, sorry to hear that the allergy symptoms are bothering you now, and yes benadryl is considered a safe medication to be take during pregnancy, so you don't need to worry as long as you already have made use of this medication and is sure that you personaly has not allergic history about this substancy. good lucky and i hope the allergy will gone soon.
