Is It Normal To Have A Different Smell "down There" When You're Pregnant?
|
I'm 7 weeks along and have noticed that there is a different odor that is coming from "down there". It isn't a foul smell or worrisome, just different. Is it abnormal to have a different odor when you are pregnant?

Sunday 7th of February 2010 09:44:21 AM Yes, it is totally normal to have that kind of unusual smell in your genitalia. It's not because of any fungal infection, rather it is simply a matter of chemical changes in your bloodstream. What you do is to wash them with especially formulated feminine wash to ease the smell and any irritation.

Wednesday 17th of March 2010 06:29:05 AM hello there mom, and no its not normal to change your smell during that time, some smell changes can be your body showing that you have got some infections in your urine tract, what is better to do now is contact your doctor, during the pregnancy we get a bit more vulnerable to some vaginal infections since we produce some fluids that keep our down places a bit more umidy and at the same time warm, there is the best place for the bacterias grow, so if your smell is similar to amonia smell or fishy smelly contact your doctor as soon as you can coz the infections are all treatable.

Wednesday 16th of June 2010 11:40:02 AM Congratulations! Well we experience all sorts of things during pregnancy. And this includes some vaginal discharge/odor. This is quite normal as long as it doesn't have a foul smell or a color that is unusual. A strong smell or a color that isn't clear should be checked immediately.
