What Does The Mucus Plug Look Like?

I am 2 weeks away from my due date and I've started to have a strange discharge. It has been a heavy light brown mucus-like discharge. Is this my mucus plug and does this mean I'm going into labor?

hi there mom, and for the time you are from the presumed due date and about what you have described that you had, I personaly be almost 100% sure that your labor time is not so far, the mucus plug looks like a sticky discharge, and it can comes with a bit of blood and it may come with a lived colour of blood or looks like a brown sticky discharge, I can say from my case that my mucus plug looked like the discharge that usualy we get when our period is ending, sticky brown spot and after I had lost my mucus plug I got a bit of bleed as well when I contact my doctor he booked a appointment and he said the bleed i got was normal coz some women get a lil spot before the labor. I would advise you to contact your doctor, good lucky.

Yes it is indication that you are about to go into labor and for that matter you should be preparing for it at any moment from now. But is good you call on your midwife to observe your situation and also give her advise. But in case it is getting worst, just kindly visit the hospital and see your doctor.

yes you should immediately contact doctor as at this time any such knid of discharge can harm your child or this is the right time to go to doctor to show what is going on because if all water discharged then ur abdominal will empty it si dangerous. so go to doctor immd.

Yes, you are right, the mucus has a brownish color, with thin threads of blood in it.You will observe a good quantity of water coming out.then you definitely going into labor.
