What Is The Difference Between A Transvaginal Ultrasound And A Regular One?

I have irregular periods, but I've been having some pregnancy symptoms, so I took a test. It was positive! I made my first appointment, but really don't have an idea how far along I am. The receptionist at the doctor's office said that because I was unsure, they would be doing a trans-vaginal ultrasound. What is the difference between a trans-vaginal ultrasound and a regular one?

With regular ultra sound, your belly will just be put with something to be read on thru computer. But, with trans vaginal, there will be an instrument to be inserted in down there. At first somewhat painful but you just need to relax to ease the pain. Then, thru it, your entire womb will be check and even the baby inside the ovary. For me it is better to have trans vaginal for total checking of your ovary.

With trans-vaginal is easy to make a correct decision upon your pregnancy stage.It is more correct then the regular one.

hi there future mom, congratulations, the difference between both is the way they are made, the transvaginal ultrasound is the proccess where the doctor introduce in yoru vagina the ultrasound camera, there is the best option to detect and get to know the pregnancy, why they pick that method when the pregnancy is started, first of all is because you embryo is really tiny tiny and a regular ultrasound is not so eficate and in some regulars methods the pregnancy is not even detected, so thats why is normal get the transvaginal ultrasound, the regular ultrasound is the one that the proccedure all occur from outside of your body. hope it helps you. Transvaginal ultrasound normally make appearance in the the ovary in of infertile women while regular Transvaginal ultrasound normally occur in fertile women.But to get to know it much, it is good you see your doctor and he explain it to him so that he or she can educate you much better about it.

The difference between trans-vaginal ultrasound and a regular one is hat,trans-vaginal ultrasound normally occur in infertile women during pregnancy while regular ones occur in fertile women during pregnancy.
But to know much about it, i will advice you to seek advice from your doctor who will be in good position to educate you better about it.
