Blue And Black Cohosh For Inducing Labor.
I am 39 1/2 weeks pregnant and beyond ready to have this little boy! I've tried castor oil and sex, but they didn't help. I called my doula and she recommended blue and black cohosh. I didn't want to sound stupid, so I didn't ask for more information. What is blue and black cohosh and where do I get some?

I think you must not panic about child bearing and labor. Just stay cool and pray that everything will be all right. Sometimes trying different things worsen the situation. I suggest stick to the advise of the doctor, stay calm and pray. You can read several book about labor and child bearing to guide you.

In the first place, Blue and black cohosh are roots from two or more separate plants, that are used by herbalist for labor induction. This type of herbs can normally begotten from the midwifes or the local people who are normally herbalist. But make sure any time you are to use it , you ask them to show or explain how to use it to you.

To be honest I have never heard either, but being only 39 1/2 weeks is not something to be alarmed about. My both kids come on 40 weeks and another one in 41 weeks, perfectly normal and healthy. Just wait and if passes 40 weeks then the doctor will know what to do. Good luck!

hello there, Also known as squawroot or black snakeroot, Black Cohosh is a herb that some doctors use them as a complement to treat menopause amd PMS symptoms but they work stimulating contractions in pregnant women, so is a drug that help induce labor, I think you will find them in the Natural Product Stores where they sell herbs and products that has a natural basis... Homeopatic pharmacies usualy are possible to find them there.
