Does A Father's Age Have Any Effects On The Gender Of Sperm?
My husband is 41 and I am 30. We are TTC and are hoping for a boy. I remember hearing that older men are more likely to have girls. Does a man's age effect the number of male versus female sperm and why?

Hi. I believe it is only a myth. The Y sperm type which produces boys is faster but less resistant than the X sperm type which is slow, more resistant and gives girls. You shouldn`t worry about your husband`s age. All girls are not conceived by old men, so this is not a rule. Good luck!

I think age does not affect the gender of the baby. Though there are some hinges about this instances that you can read in chinese prediction. Yes, some maybe true and some not. I think God is the one still on hand on this matter. No matter what the gender it is, still a blessing from God that we should be thankful.

I will not accept the fact that when a man is older he can give birth to girls more than boys. If we are to talk of unborn children or babies still in their mothers womb, i don't believe that a doctor or any person can have any idea to to comment on that. God is the only decider either to let it come out as a boy or a girl.so it wrong to say when a man is old he is like to give birth to girls more than boys.

We live in a world that's surrounded with different opinions. And one of this includes your concern as to whether or not the gender of the baby depends on the age of ones male partner. I don't think your husband's age is a determinant for the sex of the baby. There are some that are beyond your husband's age but are blessed with sons. Good luck and congratulations!
