Is It Possible For A Set Of Twins To Have Two Different Fathers?
I was listening to the radio today and they were talking about a woman who claimed that her twins were fathered by 2 different men. How is it possible for one man's sperm not to fertilize both eggs at the same time? Is this really something that could happen?

I think that is not possible. Once an egg enters and fertilized, no other egg can enter to it. In fact twins are either identical or paternal twins. Identical means only one egg split into two become fertilized. The paternal twins means two eggs a one person being fertilized. So it is impossible for a two different eggs from a two different individuals to be fertilized.

Yes, it is possible for twins to have two different fathers. If the woman has sex with two different men and especially close to ovulation each man's sperm can fertilize eggs. I have heard of twins being born a month or two apart. This can happen when a woman has sex during early pregnancy.

hello there, and yes it is possible to have twins and not from the same father, if the twins are fetilized in different eggs sure it is possible, you can be pregnant and still ovulating and get pregnant again but at the same time, so it is possible but very rare to happen.
