Had A Hysterectomy, Want My Sister To Surrogate For Me.
|
My sister had severe endometriosis and had to have a complete hysterectomy at 21. Now she's 31, married and wants a baby. She asked me if I would be her surrogate. She would like to use my egg and her husband's sperm (artificial insemination). After a lot of soul searching I've decided I want to do this for them. I have 2 children and I know they'd be great parents. As an experienced mother, I know how it feels to carry a baby, and am afraid of an unintentional emotional attachment. How can I stay objective throughout the pregnancy?

Tuesday 16th of March 2010 07:58:32 AM hello there and there is not a miracle answer to your question, may you can try hard don't get connected with the baby during the pregnancy, but there is no garantees that must work out, so that will always be your decision to surrogate or not, and when it involves family is always hard stay imparcial we always want to help, but sometimes help one side must not help your as well, there is a pretty delicate subject to be discussed.

Thursday 29th of April 2010 04:57:06 PM This is a very good thing that you are doing for your sister. I did the same thing three years ago for my sister and I would do again in a hear beat. I just always thought as myself as an incubator. It was her egg and his sperm so it was just my body that was helping the baby grow. I hope everything works out for you !

Friday 14th of May 2010 07:54:03 AM since you are sacrificing you self for them, i will advice you always make sure they send you to hospital for check up for every one month.Let them always provide you with good foods and do not do hard works.Let your sister always be by you in case of any assistance in order to avoid miscarriage.
