How Much Can A Sonographer Tell You?
I have an in-office sonogram scheduled for this afternoon. My doctor's office just called and said that my doctor has a family emergency and won't be in today. They said that I could still come in and have the ultrasound, but my doctor wouldn't be available to discuss the results until next week. If the sonographer sees something unusual can she tell me?

hello there, and the answer is no, probably she will not tell you, this are technical and professional rules dont spread information and just discuss the details with the major responsable , that in your case is your doctor, what she can say to you are the superficial details about how your baby is developing and if she seems something as long as she is not your doctor and it is not a thing that she has the diagnoses results, so it is not allow to be discussed and lets be honest not even relevant as long as your doctor is out she can not take any choice about how to procedure, but if she see something unusual she will probably report it to your doctor as soon as she can. Cheers.

It good you to wait for your doctor to be free and you go for the ultrasound because in the absence of the doctor,if the the sonographer sees something unusual, she cannot tell exactly what it means, she can even decide to tell her own outcomes which may just be predictions.so it will be a waste of time to go there.just exercise patient.

if the person is well versed with the sonography technique then they can find out every thing what i believe they take the picture and check that sono. any speciazzied doctor can also tell and the person who does the sonography knows what is goign wrong so they can tel that what i believe.
