Don't rush out and buy everything, I don't believe its necessary. I would be concerned with electrical plugs, make sure that any open holes are closed, and stairs. If you have stairs, make sure you have some way of closing them off. Further than that, just ensure that there is nothing in reach of your baby that could harm him. Ensure that your baby has a safe place to sleep. Take things as they come, I assure you that your house will automatically quickly become baby-proof, without you even thinking about it. You may want to invest in some items at a later stage when your baby is crawling and walking, but for the first few months there is nothing to worry about.

For the first 6 months or so, there really isn't anything that you need other than a safe place for baby to be - crib, bassinet, swing. The rest depends on how much attention you will be able to provide your crawler, and the makeup of your house. No matter how much attention you will be able to provide, the necessities are those things that protect from catastrophic harm: outlet plugs, stairway gates, and fasteners that attach heavy furniture to the walls, are the top three because it takes only a split second for an accident to happen that can cause death. If you have a lot of very sharp edges in your home, you may want to consider getting the pad strips for those that the baby is likely to be around often or use to pull herself to a standing position - while bumped heads are rarely the cause of death, it is very painful and happens a lot! As for toilet clamps...close the door. The best investment you can make is time and effort keeping track of your little one, but that's not possible for every second of the day - getting a carrier (Eco or Bjorm) that allows you to do what you need to with the baby comfortable, secure, and close, has always been my best investment.

hello there, I think it is something completly personal and the best way to find out is seen where the safety prducts will apply in your reality, and exactly the times that you will need them as well. coz some refrigerator lockers will just be needed as long as your baby will be grow enough to reach the refrigerator... and so on, so the best way to pick up the best things are looking for the safety productos list offered in the market and see when they will become a pratical tool to give you a support in your day by day. good lucky, cheers.
