Can I Pay To Have A 4d Ultrasound Done?
|
I am 30 weeks pregnant and I'm over the moon about my little one coming. I want to have a 4D ultrasound done, but really have no medical reason to. Is there anywhere that I can go to have this done for entertainment purposes?

Tuesday 30th of March 2010 02:44:44 AM Standard ultrasounds are ordered by a physician and performed at a clinic, doctors office or at an ultrasound imaging center. 4D ultrasounds do not require a doctor's order and are often done at a private ultrasound business, which specializes in keepsake 4D ultrasounds. The procedure is non-invasive and takes about twenty minutes to complete.
4D-Ultrasounds.com is a directory of 3D Ultrasound and 4D Ultrasound providers. This directory features 3D 4D Fetal Ultrasound centers in the US and Canada. Our goal is to make this the most comprehensive directory of 3D/4D ultrasound centers. In 2003, we started with 2 ultrasound centers listed. Today, this directory includes over 250 3D/4D ultrasound locations.

Wednesday 24th of March 2010 07:14:42 PM You do not have to have a reason for having an ultrasound if you are willing to pay for it. I would suggest browsing your local phonebook to locate a place that performs 4D ultrasounds. If that isn't successful try searching the internet for places that do them. They are usually inexpensive.

Monday 15th of March 2010 11:11:57 AM Hello there, and I think the answer is no... like all medical tests the ultrasound is a medical pratice as well and to be in the right to get it you need a medical prescription as well, the ultrasound is not only a image test but it has some details and notes that are take during the test and it need to be recomended to be read to a doctor, usualy all ultrasounds are praticed by doctors to doctors. and you can ask if the doctor that is assisting your prenatal can indicate you to do one. cheers.
