Can Car Rides Cause Miscarriages?
I just read a short blurb that said that the vibrations from car rides can contribute to miscarriages. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have an hour long commute to work every day. Can long car rides really cause miscarriages?

there are no studies that really acuse the car rides to be a reason for a miscarriage, has women that suffer miscarriage and dont get into a car ion all the pregnancy time, so it is not a relevant question, I think if someone that uses the car somuch and suffer a miscarriage no one can blame with 100% sure the car uis what cause it, miscarriages most of the times occure coz of the body reasons, like abnormal develop by the fetus, cervical problems and so on.

you can take trips, ride on a plane, take long drives in a car. When you do become pregnant, car rides. However, you should drink lots of water and go to the bathroom at least once an hour. You should walk around every hour as well. Vibrations will not cause miscarriage or have any ill effect on the pregnancy or on the fetus. I know that women at risk for miscarriage are suppose to avoid bumpy rides. So avoid just that type of ride. But do consult your doctor If you have any complications.

I don't think that car rides can cause miscarriages not unless you're in a delicate pregnancy. Still it doesn't hurt to ask your doctors. But based on my experience, I even had a couple of stops and transfers before I can finally reach work and home everyday. Yet I was able to give birth just in time. Of course being careful always does a lot of help. I never wore heels to work when I was pregnant. I make sure that my shoes can handle any "slippery" situation :-)
