I Live In A Rural Area, Should I Be Worried About Farming Chemicals?
I live outside of a small town in Illinois. My house is actually surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Farmers use several pesticides in there fields, spread by both crop dusters and by tractor. Should I be concerned, and what can I do to decrease exposure to farming chemicals while I'm pregnant?

You may consult your ob gyne about your situation there in your area. Of course, it will not be healthy if you have breath such chemicals during your pregnancy. You must ask your doctor about it during your next visit, and better know the name of the fertilizers being scattered on your farm. Hence, once you know the name, you can research in the internet, too for further information.

Avoid exposure to toxic substances and chemicals, such as cleaning solvents, lead and mercury, some insecticides, and paint. Pregnant women should avoid exposure to paint fumes. Also Avoid contact with rodents and with their urine, droppings, or nesting material. This includes household pests and pet rodents, such as guinea pigs and hamsters. Rodents can carry a virus that can be harmful or even deadly to your unborn baby.

Nothing to worry, you know a fact, there are more births in villages than in cities. You cannot get such a fresh air with more oxygen in cities as you get in villages. As a matter of fact, yes farming chemicals are harmful. I dont think you are coming in direct contact with these chemicals, by inhaling or touching then it is harmful, otherwise nothing to worry.
