My Vision Is Getting Blurry.
|
I am 7 weeks along, and I have noticed that my vision is getting a little blurry. I've never had vision problems before. Is this vision change related to my pregnancy and will it correct itself after I deliver?

Monday 15th of March 2010 09:24:54 AM hello there, you mjust report the blurry vision problems to your doctor as sooner as they appear, coz the eyes just get blurry vision when your cornea is suffering of more presure over than they usualy suffered before, that can be an indication of hypertension problems, and is better check it out as soon as possible, since pregnant hypertension women need a special care during the pregnancy and they are watched more carefuly coz the risks of a Eclampsia are really high.

Thursday 25th of March 2010 01:20:24 AM Changes in vision are normal for many women during pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones (what else?) that decrease tear production (ironically, since they certainly don't decrease crying!), leading to eye dryness, irritation, and discomfort. Hormones also cause fluid buildup in your eyes, the same way they make your ankles swell. This can lead to changes in the curvature of your eye, which causes a change in your vision. But these changes are temporary and your vision should go back to normal after delivery. Remember, however, that some serious vision problems can be a sign of gestational diabetes or high blood pressure, so be sure to mention any vision changes to your practitioner.

Monday 29th of March 2010 02:21:32 AM Changes in vision are usually due to hormonal releases that essentially loosen connective tissue - this can slightly change the way your eyes function. It should clear up after your hormones regulate again, but it never hurts to get your eyes checked out by a professional just in case.
