Ideas To Bring On Labor?
I am 39 weeks along and couldn't be more uncomfortable. I feel like my pelvis is going to fall off and my back is going to break. I can't wait for this to be over and I can just hold my baby boy. Is there anything that I can do to bring on my labor?

The bumpy car rides, exercise and walking are all methods of using gravity to help the baby drop down lower into the pelvic region thereby speeding up the labor process. Nipple stimulation causes the release of a hormone called Oxytocin which causes the uterus to contract which starts the labor process. Actually, the synthetic version of Oxytocin, called Pitocin, is what doctors generally use to induce labor in a hospital setting. The way that sex helps to induce labor is actually twofold. When a male ejaculates, the semen contains hormones called Prostoglandins which help to soften and ripen the cervix which helps get labor started. Additionally, when a woman has an orgasm, Oxytocin is released which starts contractions as stated before.

well walking several miles a day or having intercourse daily can sometimes induce labor earlier. If you are having medical problems like severe back pain sometimes your doctor may induce. Otherwise, I'm afraid you will just have to be patient and wait for nature to take its course unless the baby is still not out by 42 weeks. In this case they will induce.

Hello there have you been discussing about your idea of get the labor sooner with your doctor??? I bet he or she is the only one person that can explain to your your options and the benefits and risks of them, i bet the choices would be labor induction as long as some health issue is involved or book a c- section.
