Fever During Pregnancy, How High Is Too High?

I am 20 weeks pregnant and have been sick for a few days. Now I've got a fever of 100.4. How high should I let it get before I call my doctor?

HELLO THERE, i must indicate yourself to look after your doctor and contact him or she as soon as you present the signal of fever, there is not a safety line and fever during the pregnancy is not a great indication no matter the causes, you can take paracetamol that are allowed but you must look after a professional opinion, fever are a signal that something is not great, and it can affect seriously your baby.

If you are suffering a fever during pregnancy it is extremely important to contact your doctor immediately. Most fevers woman suffer from during pregnancy aren't usually anything to be concerned about but it is vital when pregnant to always ensure the safety of your baby at all times.
Reducing the symptoms of a fever during pregnancy
There are a few things you can do to reduce your fever, these include:
Drinking plenty of fluids such as water or fruit juice
Resting in bed
Taking warm baths
Using a standalone fan in the living room to cool you down
It is important to stay calm and not to worry too much if you are suffering a fever. After you have seen your doctor you should go home and rest and follow the guidelines set out above.
Treating a fever during pregnancy with medication
You are ok to take certain medications during pregnancy, one of which is Paracetamol which lasts around 6 hours. Stay away from any medication that you don't know is safe to take while pregnant and always check with your doctor first.

Please consider your doctor before it goes high, there is no limit that it has to reach a particular temperature. As soon as possible consider your doctor. Tell your doctor about your fever and do not take medecines of yourself. During pregnency you have to be very careful when you have any medicine it may harm your baby then you will be in big trouble.
