You can theoretically become pregnant straight away after coming off the pill. The pill not only acts as a birth control measure, but also regulates your menstrual cycle. Women who take the pill and then come off it find it easier to become pregnant as the hormones in the body are more balanced. Unless you have underlying health conditions, there should not be any problems. Eat well, exercise and relax as much as possible to try and give yourselves the best chance of conceiving. And remember, women ovulate typically around 14 days from the start of their cycle, so some bedtime action around this time ensures the best chances of conceiving. Also, you should be aware that folic acid is necessary for healthy brain and neural tube development in babies - so start taking a pregnancy specific supplement whilst trying for a baby. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol and avoid elevated stress levels. In any case, the fun bit is trying for a baby! Have a laugh on your baby travels and with any luck, you should be proud parents very soon. Best of luck!

There is no harm in becoming pregnant after having taken over some period of time contraceptives. Sometimes it becomes a little harder to get pregnant, but it can be for reasons of stress or neurological system, but with a warm, quiet and conducive to having a great night of love, magic can happen.

You can start right away. But you might not get pregnant right away. Especially if you been taking the pills for such a long time, your entire hormone system is a bit up side down and will have to become more regular in order to have a normal mentrual cycle again. However, that does not mean it cannot happen in the 1st month after stopping with the pill, one of my friends was in a similar situation like you and now has a happy baby girl! However, most experts will tell you it can easily take up to one year after stopping with the pill before you fall pregnant. Good luck!

It usually takes four to five months or even a year to conceive. When you stop taking birth control pills, your body will take some time to return to its normal state. A few days after you last took your birth control pill, the hormones induced by the pills will be gone but wait a few weeks or a couple of cycles before you start trying.

Usually if you want to get pregnant, you can stop your pills right away and try the next ovulation to get pregnant. I was on pills to before we decided to lift it. We had Pap smear first before waiting and doing it on my ovulation date. I got pregnant right away and when the baby came out, he was perfectly healthy.

If you want to fall pregnant, stop taking the pill and start trying. Of course you can start trying immediately. The pill has different effects on everyone. Some women can fall pregnant immediately, while others may take a little longer. You will only know the answer once you stop taking the pill and start trying. Good luck, I hope it happens sooner rather than later for you.
