Concerned About Discharge During Early Pregnancy.
I am worried because when I woke up, I had a little bloody, mucus like discharge in my underwear. I called my doctor and I am supposed to go in in 3 hours. I'm trying to remain calm, but nothing like this happened during my first and second pregnancies. Can I still be okay even if I am having bloody discharge during early pregnancy?

Yes, everything will be still okey as long as you informed and see your doctor immediately. Your worrying will not come you, so just relax and see your doctor. I had same experience with that, too. Immediately I went to my ob gyne's clinic and had an trans vaginal ultra sound to see and check for the cause of bleeding. Better at early action I did called her because I had sub chrionic hemmorage in my uterus near to my baby. She gave me medication to remove it so that it will not be scattered and be eaten by my baby. Otherwise, if I didn not visit immediately my baby will be poisoned.

Vaginal bleeding, during the implantation stages i.e. early pregnancy is quite normal and for a few people, might even continue all through, in certain situations it could be harmful. It is therefore essential to get a thorough examination done, in case the bleeding continues. As for the threats related to pregnancy bleeding, the most common is miscarriage. Blood discharge during pregnancy, in the first few months, usually accompanied by abdominal pain could imply miscarriage. Another closely linked situation of a not so-normal early pregnancy discharge is ectopic pregnancy. In medical terms, ectopic pregnancy is a situation wherein the embryo instead of being implanted in the womb gets placed else where, usually in the fallopian tube. This again is simply not a normal situation and any pregnancy discharge in these circumstances, certainly is an issue of concern. Pregnancy bleeding in the later stages could be harmful if a result of either placenta praevia or placental abruption. Both are extremely fatal conditions and demand immediate medical attention.
