Tired Of All The Pregnancy Blood Tests!

It seems like every time I see my doctor, he has blood drawn for something. He never tells me why. How many of these pregnancy blood tests can I expect and what are they for?

the blood tests are most of them the same ones we usualy do when we are not pregnant as well, like diabetis tests, dst tests, and the basic blood tests as well, so he can check time to time how is your healthy answering on that moment, if you ask him why the tests are necessary I bet he will explain to yourself that is based in your results that he can know if all is okay with your baby. good lucky.

The blood test are very important. There are lot of diseases than can make you loss a pregnancy and there are only revealed with blood test. One of the most dangerous is toxoplasmosis, a serios parasitic disease cause by scratch of cats. Anyway, your doctor shoul explain you why he recommend it. It's your right to know.

Generally blood tests are made during pregnancy to check your haemoglobin level in your blood. It seems you may be a bit aneamic, that is why doctor is testing the blood. My guess is that, but from the parmeters of the blood test results you can guess what for the blood is done. Another reason of doing blood test in to check you blood group, if your blood group fall in the negative category, and the child also falls in under the category then injection is given, but that is only one time test. I feel you may aneamic that is why blood is tested. Nothing to worry.
