12 Weeks Pregnant-can't Brush My Teeth
I've almost made it through the first trimester, but now I am gagging whenever I try to brush my teeth. I'm only 12 weeks pregnant, will this last for the rest of my pregnancy?

I do the same thing. I'm normally super queasy in the morning and the toothpaste definitely makes me gag and dry-heave. I find that thinking about something else helps. Once I start thinking about the toothpaste making me gag, I gag. So, I try daydreaming about my baby or what I'll wear for the day or anything like that. Also, try brushing with a dry brush (paste only-no water) and keep the paste as thick as possible so it stays on your teeth and away from your tongue. That may help to reduce the gagging. Might be it end after your second trimester or in between this normally but sometime many women get rid from this after their baby shower. hope for the best dear.

AS FAR AS MY KNOWLEDGE IS CONCERNED THETR IS NO ANY SUCH KIND OF PROBLEM AS YOU ARE FACING YOU INDICATED.YOU TRY FOR SOME TREATMENT BY CONSULTING TO YOUR DOCTOR.YOU CAN TRY FOR ADDITIONAL EXTERNAL ORAL MEDICINES.AND IF YOU CONTINUE YOUR MEDICINES I TELL YOU YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE DEFINITELY SOLVED.AND IT WOULD'NT LAST UPTO YOUR PREGNANCY.

It depends on your health situation. Usually during pregnancy, our body calcium are also taken by our baby in the womb. And as you can notice, our ob gyne give prescription for vitamin-calcium to ensure that we have adequate calcium needed by our body. And maybe you have unappropriate calcium intake, that is why you gagging on your teeth. I suggest you ask this to your ob gyne on your next visit to avoid any possible effect and to be sure about your health and the baby's health.
