I Think My Pregnancy Diarrhea Is Caused By Dairy Products.
|
I've never been a big fan of dairy, but I've never had a problem digesting it before. I have been battling diarrhea for 4 weeks now, so my doctor told me to journal what I eat. It seems like I get sick when I have dairy products. How do I get the calcium and vitamin D that I need, but avoid this nasty pregnancy diarrhea?

Sunday 28th of February 2010 02:50:10 AM If diary foods are making you sick, the best thing to do is find other ways to get the neccessary calcium and Vitamin D.
Since I suffer from Lactose intolerance, I went to a diet rich with foods that provide a good source of clacium and Vitamin D.
Cod liver oil, salomon, mackeral, leafy dark greens, broccoli, almonds, calcium fortified orange juice, and a good prenantal vitamin that provides a Calcium and Vitamin D.
In addition, get out in the sun for a little while - since the sun is the best source of Vitamin D.

Friday 12th of March 2010 08:08:15 AM you can get the vitamins you need without consum dairy products, some leafy vegetables, nuts, grains, cereals abd fruits has the calcium present in their composition, snack cereal bars are fortified with vitamins what ios a great way to get to repose some vitamins in this way, and soy milk usualy is fortified with calcium and vitamin D. so you can still get the vitamins you need without need to drink and eat things that is made of milk.

Wednesday 17th of March 2010 12:58:53 PM Well my dear after a long research in nutrition I am able to find the best from a nutritionist is that: Very few foods in nature contain vitamin D. The flesh of fish and fish liver oils are among the best sources. Small amounts of vitamin D are found in beef liver, cheese, and egg yolks. Some mushrooms provide vitamin D. Most people meet their vitamin D needs through exposure to sunlight.
Green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, collards, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens, and bok choy or Chinese cabbage are good sources of calcium.
Other sources of calcium are salmon and sardines canned with their soft bones. Shellfish, almonds, Brazil nuts, and dried beans are also sources of calcium. It is difficult, however, to eat adequate quantities of these foods to achieve optimal calcium intake.
