No,is not true.Echinaceea is a natural remedy used for treating cold and to strengthen imunitar.echinaceea is not harmful to pregnant women and mothers, the more you just try to get pregnant, research has shown that the use of the supplement during pregnancy does not increase the risk of birth defects of appearance or other problems related to the foetus health. More over is more appropriate for a woman pregnant or breastfeeding to take place in echinaceea aspirin or other drugs administered for the treatment cold

could have such influence but it is only if you are consuming for long periods of time.I am sure one or two month treatment could not induce infertility for a body that has not have another problems. You could consult a doctor to find out if you are allowed to consume echinacea.

Studies have been done regarding possible infertility effects of heavy usage of echinacea but as far as I know only what the effects would be on men. And yes, it is true that there is a reduced risk of infertility in men if they are heavy users. I would check with your GP to see if he knows of any studies on women. But may be good to stop your husband from taking too much echinacea!

According to the study by toxicologists to 200 women, some pregnant and others are not pregnant, confirm that echinacea has not shown a risk to malformations during pregnancy and specifically during the first trimester when the risk is higher. In fact the Echinacea and any other herb should be used carefully and must be recommended by a therapist confidence.

Echinacea And Infertility has no relation as per the studies . it is only a common myth that taking echinacea caused infertility. echinacea is a very useful herb and studies have shown that taking it improve the migration of white blood cells to attack foreign body in the blood stream, but there are no studies to show that taking the herb would cause infertility.

I have heard the same thing, but I can't find any studies have been done to prove it one way or the other. Why take the risk, though? Perhaps find an alternative to the echniacea and talk with your physican about what you can take during the flu season that doesn't have any potential infertility side effects.

Herbs are used for specific needs which may not be okay but sometimes damaging. For people who are trying to conceive, Echinacea is not a good choice. Yes, because it damages the reproductive cells and stop fertilization of eggs. Drinking it regularly might damage both the eggs and the sperm. Instead of Echinacea why don't you take fish oil, this one help you increase fertility.
