Pregnancy Trimesters, How Big Is My Baby?
|
I know that there is significant growth and development during each trimester, but I can't find anything about length and weight. At the end of each of the pregnancy trimesters, about how big is my baby?

Tuesday 16th of March 2010 08:19:59 PM Every baby is different but there are averages out there. One way to gauge an approximate size of your baby at the end of each trimester is to compare him/her to something esle. For example, at the end of your first trimester, your baby is approximately the length of a lemon or shrimp (3inches - crown/rump) and weighs about 3/4 oz (19g). At the end of your second trimester, you baby is about 1 inch taller than a Barbie doll (head/toe)and weighs approximately 2 lbs. At the end of your third trimester, your baby can weigh anywhere between 6-8 lbs (6 or 8x1 lb bags of flour) and measure between 17-22 inches long (head/toe) which is about the length of 2 letter sized pages laid end to end.
